A 48-year-old farmer at Nsiakrom near Sefwi-Bethlehem, Kwame Kusi, standing trial at the Bibiani Magistrate Court for arson, has been remanded into prison custody.
He pleaded guilty to the charge but with explanation.
Police Detective Chief Inspector Mike Agbagh told the court presided over by Mr Osei Kofi Amoako that both the complainant, Yaw Obeng, and the accused
are farmers.
Obeng lives at Sefwi-Bethlehem and has built a house for his farmhands at Nsiakrom.
Police Detective Chief Inspector Agbagh said on January 16, this year, at about 1500 hours the two picked a quarrel during, which Kusi threatened
to burn the house.
He followed through with the threat and set the building ablaze the next day.
