Bayerebon-Number-One, a community in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District, has been thrown into a state of shock, grief and mourning, following the discovery of the dead body of a 29-year old farmer, who went missing a month ago.
Yaw Bennie was found hanged on a tree in a forest reserve by some school children, who had gone to pick fruits.
The frightful sight sent them running back home, where they broke the news to the Chief and member of the community.
Police Detective Inspector Tobias Amoadza of the Bibiani Station, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the decomposed corpse had since been
buried.
Bennie left the house late December, last year, but failed to return.
A search party from the community could not locate him after days of intensive search.
