This year, over 3,000 entries were sent in and the number was pruned down to 27 who made it to the boot camp. The boot camp, which was held over four days, came off at the Holy Trinity Spa and Health Farms.
The contestants were taken through a personal branding session, communicative skills and the power of the voice in the music industry. They were also educated on the basics of song writing, music production as well as the business of music.
Project managers of MTN Hitmaker from MTN Ghana also took the contestants through the Dos and Don’ts of the competition.

“I also want to thank the judges and MTN most importantly for believing in me and giving me such an opportunity, I promise not to let them down,” he said.
Mimi on the other hand said she was ready for the competition. “I know this event is not child’s play so I’m ready to give it my all and get to the top. I want to thank my family and friends for encouraging me, I will not let them down,” she said.
