MTN Ghana has donated GHC 20,000 as well as 1,000 Ghana Cedis worth of airtime, along with assorted drinks, to the La Traditional Council as part of their Homowo celebrations. The donation was part of MTN's efforts to support the community and promote their products and services.
According to Jemima Kotei-Walsh, Chief Customer Experience Officer for MTN Ghana, the company was committed to engaging with the community and educating them on how to protect themselves against Mobile Money fraud. She noted that MTN Ghana would be present throughout the festival, supporting various activities and providing assistance to customers with service requests.
Nii Adjei Koofe IV, La Shikitele, speaking on behalf of the La Traditional Council, expressed gratitude for MTN's support and prayed for the company's continued growth and success. He also advised MTN Ghana to strengthen its systems to prevent fraud and to educate its subscribers on how to handle the risks of fraud.
Nii Adjei Koofe IV also encouraged the people of La to avail themselves to MTN's services and to take advantage of the company's educational initiatives.
Through this donation and support, MTN Ghana continues to demonstrate her commitment to building strong relationships with the communities it serves and promoting digital inclusion and awareness.
