Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team, the Black Queens, have moved up in the latest FIFA World Women’s Rankings
The Black Queens moved up five spots to rank 62nd in the world after gaining 22 points in the ranking to place third in Africa.
Reigning AFCON champions Nigeria maintained their spot as the best ranked Africa nation in the world (37th). The Super Falcons slipped by a spot.
Morocco slipped two spots to rank fifth on the continent and 66th in the world with South Africa and Zambia ranked second and fourth respectively.
The rankings come on the back of the Black Queens beating the odds to finish third at the 2024 Women’s AFCON and qualifying to the next edition in 2026.

The Black Queens followed up the impressive performance with a 2-0 loss to reigning European Champions England earlier this month.
