Ghana's female cricket team has arrived in Lagos ahead of the third edition of the Nigeria Cricket Federation's Women's T20 Invitational tournament, which is set to begin today and end on April 3, 2023.
The team, consisting of 14 players and two officials, is determined to make their country proud as they compete against top African sides for the championship.
Head Coach Obed Harvey and his team are confident in their abilities and are eager to win the tournament this time around after finishing fourth last year.
Ghana will face defending champions Rwanda on Monday, March 27, and Sierra Leone on Tuesday, which will be a thrilling match to witness as Ghana seeks redemption after losing to Sierra Leone in the previous edition.
Following these two challenging games, Ghana will face Cameroon before battling the hosts, Nigeria, to determine their place in the finals.
The team is optimistic about their chances of emerging as champions this year, having undergone extensive training over the past ten days.
