The Board Chairman of Medeama Sporting Club (SC), Dr Toni Aubynn and four others have been elected onto the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as representatives of the 16 Ghanaian Premier League clubs.
Dr Aubynn polled 14 votes out of a possible 16 at the election held at the Secretariat of the GFA in Accra.
He will be joined on the Council by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Premier League side Ashanti Gold SC, Frederick Acheampong, Nana Oduro Sarfo, George Ernest Amoako and Osei Bonsu Kingsley.
Shedding light on the strategy for his victory, Dr Toni Aubynn said he met all the delegates and convinced them of his capabilities in one-on-one meetings.
He said he was looking to rebrand and re-organise the GFA to attract corporate sponsorships.
