Division One league side, Bolga All Stars, have initiated moves to upgrade their stadium to be able to honour their Premier League matches at home.
Spokesperson for the newly promoted side, Abagna Jose Nelson, told the Graphic Sports that the team had come to stay and that although their target for the Premiership season was moderate they would make the Bolga park a “no go area for visiting clubs”.
“We are aware the Premier League is different from Division One but I assure you that when we upgrade our stadium and start playing our matches at home, no team can beat us in Bolga”. he stated.
Touching on the team’s preparation, Mr Abagna said they were making efforts to add eight experienced players to the present team as part of their organisation and preparation for the season.
He expressed appreciation to all stakeholders who supported the club throughout the Division One campaign and urged their fans to continue to rally behind the club now that they have joined the elite division.
Mr Abagna mentioned Abdul Razak, Seidu Shaibu Zida and Noah Neequaye who had premiership experiences with RTU and Wa All Stars respectively as the only experienced players with the team currently and said “We hope to beef up the team with some more experienced ones”.
