The 13-member Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly (KKMA) has unanimously confirmed the President's nominee, Mr Samuel James Nii Adjei Tawiah, to become the first Municipal Chief Executive.
The KKMA is one of the six newly created assemblies in the Greater Accra Region.
Mr Ishmael Ashietey, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, said the Assembly was within an active business area and the people, therefore, expected that the revenue to be generated would be used to change the architecture of the Municipality.
He urged members to partner with investors to improve the investment opportunities of the area, saying; "There are people out there who have got funds and would like to invest if you open up with business-minded strategies."
He expressed commended them for their unanimous votes for the MCE and said they should work in unity for the progress of the Municipality.
Nii Adjei Tawiah expressed gratitude to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Assembly members for his nomination and confirmation, respectively, as the MCE for Korle Klottey.
He promised to work in unity with the members to lift the image of the area.
Earlier during the same function, the Assembly members unanimously elected Mr Francis Ebo Mensah as the Presiding Member.
