Tigo Ghana has introduced another innovative service known as the EXTRA TIME to allow customers enjoy one minute of on-net calls as a loan to make emergency calls or finish up initiated calls.

Explaining the essence of the product, Head of Solutions Category, Abdul-Nasser Alidu, said the product was designed "to ease the burden on subscribers in critical times, allowing them to make that urgent call or finish up with a conversation even when they have no credits and are unable to recharge."

He added that "EXTRA TIME is about giving more to customers and providing them with real enabling solutions that enhances their lifestyle and puts smiles on their faces."

Tigo's Extra Time works such that when a customer runs out on credit whilst on a call, all they need to do is to dial *187# to automatically receive the 60seconds airtime or call 188 and follow the voice prompt. The customer will then be credited with one minute airtime to talk on-net and pay back at the next top up.
Currently this offer is limited to only prepaid customers.
