Four persons have been remanded into prison custody by a Kumasi Circuit for allegedly snatching two vehicles from their drivers.
The pleas of Kofi Amoateng, 19, Issifu Issah, 34, Kwaku Adjei, 38 and Ebo Kwabena Richard, 22, were not taken.
Police are making efforts to arrest their accomplices, one Frimpong and "Accra Boy."
They will re-appear in court on May 26.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Archibald Kwesi Fandoh told the court that on March 31, police had a trip-off that Issah was selling an Astra Taxi cab believed to have been stolen.
Police, with the help of a staff from the Regional Security Council, arrested him when he was invited on phone after Issah had agreed to sell the car to him at GH¢1,500.
He was handed over to the Buffalo Unit and at the police station, Mr Salomon Dankwa, the first complainant came there to check whether the police had had any information about his stolen vehicle.
There, he identified Adjei as the one who robbed him of his Astra taxi cap.
During investigation, the police also retrieved a KIA Pride car belonging to Mr Steven Ayesu that had been abandoned at Atwima-Koforidua in the Atwima Nwabiagya District after several attempts to sell it failed.
Richard and Amoateng were later arrested but Richard denied the offence and Amoateng mentioned Frimpong and "Accra Boy" as their accomplices.
