DRINK WATER, BE FIT!
“To understand water is to understand the cosmos, the marvels of nature, and life itself”-Masaru Emoto
Water is an essential nutrient needed to keep our bodies functioning optimally. Each molecule of water contains two atoms of hydrogen joined to a single atom of oxygen, hence scientifically presented as H?O.
As critical as water is, its benefits are often overlooked. Lack of water or chronic dehydration is one of the contributing factors to many diseases and the aging process.
According to research, water makes up about 72% of the human body and about 73% of the brain. Drinking water, therefore, helps one to think, focus, stay alert, and eventually improves one’s energy levels as well.
Also, water aids in the removal of fat by-products from the body. Research on water's impact on human metabolic function is ongoing. However, water has been proven to help greatly with weight management.
‘Sweat it out.’ Water consumption helps the body flush out waste through sweat and urine. This process also helps to prevent kidney stones from forming as well as protect us from Urinary Tract Infections (UTI). Drinking a sufficient amount of water washes away leftover food particles and oral bacteria that lead to bad breath.
Dehydration is often an overlooked cause of back pain. The bones of the vertebrae are supported by discs. And the central nucleus of each disc is made of water. A lack of water can compromise these discs leading to back pain.
Generally, it is recommended that women drink about 2 liters of water and men, 3 liters of water daily. Nonetheless, water consumption levels may vary based on age, weight, activity level, and climate.
One should always believe in the power of water and have positive thoughts to move it in the desired direction. This will promote inner healing as well as physical, mental, and spiritual recovery.
