We are happy to invite proposals from AU/UN Member States,Civil Society Organisations,Companies,Networks and Institutions to submit applications to host side events at the forthcoming third African Youth SDGs Summit [2]scheduled to take place from 1-3 July,2020 in Accra,Ghana.
The third Summit will be held on the theme “UNLEASHING THE FULL POTENTIAL OF THE YOUTH TO DELIVER THE SDGS IN THE NEXT DECADE”. The Summit will also coincide with the 5-year milestone since the adoption of the SDGs and will convene about 1,500 young leaders, SDG advocates, students, government officials, development practitioners and world leaders for 3-days of constructive dialogues,co-creations, debates, awards, networking and exchange of knowledge towards attaining the SDG target by 2030.
The Summit is convened jointly by Youth Advocates Ghana (YAG) [3], the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) [4], Ghana`s Ministry of Planning [5] and Millennium Promise Alliance (MPA) [6] with support from both local and international development organisations.
The African Youth SDGs Summit provides a unique opportunity for organisations in Africa and the diaspora to exchange ideas,share lessons and experiences in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Agenda 2063.
Through this call,organisations can propose to co-design sessions and organize side events in line with the Summit's thematic focus areas.
