The Ghana Energy Awards scheme is an industry-owned initiative which recognises the tremendous and invaluable efforts of institutions, organisations and individuals in the country's energy sector that have helped the country to move beyond its power issues and improve economic productivity.
The event is organized by the Energy Media Group and CH Business Consulting Ghana, under the theme: "Energy, the Key to a Sustainable Economy for Industrialisation".
Also inclusive in the Awards event are the Non-Competitive Awards categories which include the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Osagyefo Young Leadership Award.
Fully endorsed by the Ministry of Energy and the World Energy Council Ghana, the Awards has key industry partners such as the Volta River Authority (VRA), Ghana Gas and the Bui Power Authority (BPA).
Other industry partners include the Energy Commission, Petroleum Commission, National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD), Association of Oil Marketing Companies and COPEC Ghana.
Mr Teinor said the institution of the awards was to recognise both the efforts and people providing the fuel for economic growth.
"From its inception in 2017 until date, the scheme has maintained its integrity as a true reflection of the industry's performance", he said.
