Ms Esther A. N. Cobbah, the Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, says the African approach to consensus building for community mobilisation is a good tool for facilitating development.
She said in such situations excellent Communication was required, emphasizing that this was critical for Africa to prosper.
Ms Cobbah was speaking at the company's 25th Anniversary Media launch and Thanksgiving in Accra.
The event was on the theme "Communication Excellence for Africa's Prosperity is this digital Age."
She said businesses, particularly Small and Medium terms in Africa needed to be part of the story of the African rising and this required excellence in Brand Communication among other aspects of the totality of the Communication tools.
She said "individual talents can be harnessed and deployed for the enhancement of their own livelihoods and the betterment of Africa, through the use of effective Communication approaches".
"These are what Stratcomm Africa remains passionate about," she added.
She said management had no doubt about the importance of Communication for the future of the country and indeed the African continent for the well-being of the African people.
The CEO said Communication was required within and among African Nations to enable countries on the continent to pool capabilities and resources together for future benefits.
"Africa's prosperity will happen, when African Nations prosper, our countries develop, our businesses thrive and individual livelihoods are enhanced," she said.
Ms Cobbah said a prosperous Africa was the 'Africa that we want ' and that was what the African Union was seeking to mobilise the continent and beyond to achieve.
Professor S.K. Adjepong, the Board Chairman of Stratcomm Africa, said the Board had watched with keen interest, the increasingly competitive nature of the marketing Communication industry.
He said in keeping their mandate of oversight and decision making on major company issues, "we intend to continue to work with Management to invest in our human resources".
He said this was the only way they believed they could meet the growing competition and benefit from the opportunities that the industry offered.
The Board Chairman entreated staff to continue to be creative and innovative in their work, encouraging clients to continue to demand the best from the company to enable them provide world class services.
He said Stratcomm Africa must continue to be the leader in the marketing Communications industry in Ghana.
Mr Kwesi Quartey, the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, commended the Management and Staff for their efforts to transform the marketing Communication industry.
He said it was important to tell the African story, the African way and Communication was needed to transform the continent.
Mr Quartey commended the Chief Executive of Stratcomm Africa, Ms. Esther Cobbah, on her vision in establishing the company.
He highlighted the importance of communication for the attainment of the vision of the African Union of an integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens.
According to him, the vision needed to be communicated to the youth of Africa so that they did not risk their lives seeking to cross the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea to reach Europe instead of staying in Africa and contributing their capabilities towards realizing that vision.
He called on the media to be part of ensuring peace and prosperity in the country and on the continent rather than stoking division.
He further stated that the African Continental Free Trade Area, which was due to be launched at an Extraordinary Summit of the African Union to be held in Niamey, Niger, next week, was a major step towards the integration of the economies of African countries, which will create enormous opportunities for the economic growth of African countries.
Activities for the celebration includes a Communication summit, an SME Communication Awards and Communication Students Awards.
