Four ultrasound scan machines and several other health accessories have been given out to Tumu Municipal Hospital by Virtue International, a Non-Governmental Organisation, to enhance healthcare delivery.
The Hospital also received medical supplies worth over GHC 500, 000.00 from the non-profit organisation that has been working in the Tumu Municipal over the years.
The NGO seeks to create awareness, inspire action and render assistance through healthcare, education and empowerment initiatives to improve the living conditions of the people.
Country Director of Virture International, Mr Issah Mohammed Bataklia, who presented the equipment, said the organisation had a longstanding relationship with the Hospital and hoped the equipment would go a long way to support the work of medical staff.
He said his outfit would continue to support the health care system for the people to have access to better health services and there was the need for effective partnership from stakeholders to support health needs of the people for better service delivery.
Madam Linda Naa Okailey, a staff of the Hospital, who received the equipment was full of appreciation of the gesture and assured the donors that the items would be put good use.
