A total of twelve babies were delivered on Christmas day at the Maternal and Child Health Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi. Six of the deliveries, which included a set of twins, were done through caesarean section (CS). They were three females and four males.
Mr Ernest Ekow Abban of the Public Relations Unit of KATH, told the Ghana News Agency that the other six babies were delivered through normal processes at the labour ward of the hospital.
Three of them were males while the other three were females.
He said all the babies and their mothers were doing well.
