The Management of the Sunyani Technical University (STU) on Wednesday signed Performance Contract with the Directors, Deans and Heads of Departments (HoDs) of the institution.
The contract, according to Management is to push the parties to work hard to enable the University to achieve targets set for the 2018/2019 academic year.
A statement issued by the University, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday said Professor Kwadwo Adinkra-Appiah, the Vice-Chancellor (VC), Dr Justice Solomon Korantwi-Barimah, the Pro-VC and Mr Samuel A. Obour, Registrar of the University, supervised the contract.
Prof Adinkra-Appiah admonished the Directors, Deans and the HoDs to work hard to enable the University to achieve targets contained in the contract, especially in the area of admissions.
“Management is considering instituting awards for all those who would be able to meet their targets to boost their morale as well as encourage others to do their best”, it said.
The statement said “sanctions would be applied on Directors, Deans and HoDs as and when necessary”, and urged them to eschew laziness and work with the greatest degree of commitment and competency.
