They had plenty to eat and drink – rice and chicken, biscuits and soft drinks and he said this would be done regularly.  Daasebre Agyepong reminded everybody to assist take good care of the needy children enable them to live their dreams.

They should be supported to receive reasonable level of education and to fully exploit their God-given talents. He added that more should be done to open doors of opportunity to the many brilliant and intelligent children at the orphanages and from poor homes for a better future.

The Omanhene advised management of the orphanages to give the children the love and warmth that they required to grow into caring and responsible adults. Nana Simpe Wiredu II, the Krontihene of Abene, asked the children to be disciplined, show respect to the elderly and people in authority and to work hard on their books.
