The Ministry of the Interior has renewed the curfew in Bimbilla township from 22:00 hours to 04:00 hours effective from Tuesday, November 7, 2017.
A statement signed by the Minister, Mr Ambrose Dery and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the curfew was being renewed upon the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument.
It advised the chiefs, opinion leaders, the youth and the people to exercise restraint in the face of challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to bring peace to the area.
The statement reiterated the total ban on carrying arms, ammunitions or any offensive weapons and that any persons found with weapons would be arrested and prosecuted.
