The Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Kwadwo Akuamoah-Boateng, has encouraged the nation’s youth to develop strong passion for hard work and excellence.
This combined with integrity, he indicated, was the path to travel to become successful in life. He was addressing about 2,000 school children drawn from both public and private basic and senior high schools (SHS) in the municipality, at a parade held at Ejisu, to commemorate Ghana’s 60 years of nationhood.
Mr. Akuamoah-Boateng advised them to focus on their books and to refuse to be part of anything that was not noble or decent. They should also take pride of the rich cultural heritage and reject foreign cultures that cherished violence and indiscipline. He used the occasion to remind them assist to keep the environment tidy - they should not litter.
The schools, which excelled in the march past competition, were presented with certificates and plaques. Ejisuman placed first in the SHS category, and for that of basic schools, Redeeming Grace Academy, won the ultimate.
