Imam of the Al-suna Wal Jamaa, a Muslim religious sect, has expressed concern about the increasing conflicts among Muslims and said this has
impeded the socio-economic development of the nation.
He therefore urged them to foster unity, love and mutual understanding to ensure peace and progress of the nation.
Sheikh Amin was preaching the sermon to mark the end of the month-long fasting programme for Muslims, at Old Tafo, in Kumasi, on Friday.
He said the occasion was significant in the faith and extended gratitude and appreciation to God for protecting and guarding them all over
the years.
Sheikh Amin noted that today�s event was to remind them of the need to renew their commitment and dedication to the worship of Allah at all times.
He also emphasized on the importance of education, as a development tool in the country.
He advised parents and guardians to invest in the education of their wards to enable them to play positive roles in the development of Ghana.
He called on the youth to develop interest in acquiring vocational skills to help them become self-employed to contribute their quota towards the advancement of the country.
Sheikh Amin told them to show kindness and compassion to the needy in society and support them in their up-keep and maintenance at all times
