Prof Brempong Owusu-Antwi, the Vice-Chancellor of Adventist University of Africa (AUA), Kenya, has called on Adventist youth to uphold the principles of self-discipline, integrity and to be God-fearing.
He said these were necessary not just for the achievement of individual success but to aid transformation of the society.
Prof Owusu-Antwi was addressing the opening of the 28th annual congress of Ghana National Association of Adventist Students (GNAAS)
at the Techiman campus of the Valley View University.
The congress is discussing effective ways of mobilizing the youth for the development of both the church and the country.
The Vice-Chancellor spoke of the need for hard work, telling the young people that there was no short-cut to success.
They should also accept responsibility for their own future by taking their education more seriously.
Mr Alex Kyeremeh, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Techiman, advised them to lead exemplary lives and become good example to society.
Mr Frank Boakye, National President of the Association, said their goal was to help spread the gospel and turn especially young people away from evil.
