Right Reverend David Daniels Junior, Presiding Prelate of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, on Sunday urged Christians to continue Christ's work of building an inclusive and indivisible society.
He said this in sermon on Palm Sunday to end a five-day conference to mark the 71st anniversary of the Ghana Annual Conference of AME Church at the Gesthemane AME Church at Kweikuma near Takoradi.
Bishop Daniels Junior whose sermon was based on the topic: "Jesus, the Liberator", said in the inclusive society, people should willingly participate in the development process, love and care for each other without creating or having enemies.
He said Christ intended to establish a kingdom of God and not a political kingdom as it was perceived by some during his time and that His kingdom was to be inclusive one where subjects were not ruled by fear.
Bishop Daniels Junior Christ was drawing people from all backgrounds to transform them to be part of the kingdom that would be fully established during his second coming.
Reverend Anthony Ainu, Presiding Elder of the Church in-charge of Sekondi-Takoradi, urged leaders of the country to use Palm Sunday to find ways of uniting Ghanaians.
He said Christ was crowned on Palm Sunday not only for Christians but for the whole world and as such, the day was for Christians and the whole world.
Reverend Ainu advised Christians to do away with conflicts since government could not achieve much when it was divided.
He further asked them to unite and support the government to implement its development programmes for the benefit of all.
