More than 500 residents at Mateheko near Afienya, at the weekend benefited from a free medical screening, organized by members of the Great Faith Miracle Chapel (GFMC), as part of activities marking the Church's Tenth Anniversary Celebration.
Led by their Head Pastor, Reverend Gideon Ahiagba, members of the Church also feted the residents, and presented them with second hand
clothing, all worth about GHC3,000, to help put smiles on their faces, as Christians prepared to celebrate the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
He said apart from its spiritual responsibility of preaching the Good News to the people, the Church, also owed it as a duty, to provide for their material well-being as well.
The Head Pastor of GFMC used the occasion to advise Ghanaians to get closer to God, and manifest His love in their fellow men, by sharing the
little they had with the poor and needy in society.
A Thanks-giving Service would be held on Sunday, March 28, to round off activities marking the week-long celebration which has the theme: "Season Of Restoration."
