Multiple award winning Ghanaian artiste, Sarkodie is encouraging players in the music industry not to be too hard on young acts since they are still trying to find their feet.
In a social media post on Saturday, August 5, the two time VGMA Artiste of the Year winner said he and his colleagues had the opportunity to be trained behind the scenes back in the day but the younger ones have not been privileged to such opportunities due to the popularity of traditional and social media in recent years.
Sarkodie said the latest development has compelled the young ones to literally learn to correct mistakes at their peak and it’s equally a lot of pressure which affects their decision.
He, therefore, entreated all and sundry to take it easy and give them a chance.

“My era coming up, we had time to make our mistakes behind cameras and at least work on our approach to this business (how to speak during interviews, stage craft, how to deal with this industry in general) still learning but comparing to These young kings coming up, they literally starting right in front of our eyes (social x traditional media) they have to learn to correct mistakes at their peak …it’s a lot of pressure and sometimes affect their decisions. It’s not easy at all for them. I would urge we take it easy on them and give them a chance (sic),’ he stated.
