Debonair Afrik will host the 6th edition of its annual fashion creative networking event, The Editors Meet Brunch on 2nd January, 2023 at The Fitzgerald in Accra, Ghana supported by GH Mumm champagne.
The annual event brings together key West African and international fashion stakeholders with a vision to invest in the landscape of new creative talents in Africa while donning their most creative on-theme fashion to set the tone for the new year.
The theme of the 2023 edition- De Renaissance of Disco, will be an ode to the disco era - an era characterized by up-tempo dance music filled with repetitive vocals and catchy rhythmic beats, trippy lights, and reflective disco bulbs which created a positive atmosphere for people from all walks of life to come together.
"We have been inspired by the Disco Era as it encouraged people to glamorously be themselves on their own terms through music and fashion as an escape to a period of escalating social and economic turmoil in the 1970s. In fact today we can still draw insights and inspiration in dealing with today's issues while also celebrating black excellence which is our vision and platform at The Editors Meet Brunch," says Emmanuel Ekuban, Creative Director of Debonair Afrik and popularly known as Nuel Bans in the creative industry.
Over the years, The Editors Meet Brunch has become a forum for fashion industry players to interact, network, and discover business opportunities within and outside the fashion industry, to encourage collaborative relationships among them. The 2022 edition featured personalities such as British Sudanese ambassador, advocate and champion of the arts in social change, youth development, and fashion, Rozan Ahmed, Nigerian-American stylist, content creator, style, travel and culture editor, Alexander-Julian Gibbson, Fife Osikanlu, the co-founder/Principal Partner at Eden Venture Group, and Ghanaian entertainers, Selly Galley and Mawuli Gavor.
"The Editor's Brunch is our moment to celebrate and recognize one another and inspire each other for a new year of success, breaking boundaries and bringing African style to the world on our own terms and in our own voice," adds Nuel who recently served as an on-site producer for Vogue magazine cover shoot featuring Michaela Coel Web shot in Ghana.
The Editors Meet Brunch 2023: De Renaissance of Disco is supported by GH Mumm, France's best and the world's leading luxury Champagne brand, Sankofa Snacks, Scent of Africa, WaxPrint Media, Dilmah Tea, Tama Cosmetics, Every Stylish Girl, Menscook Gh, Tinsel, and Designed by JR.
