Frank Beecham who was crowned the overall winner walked away with GH¢100,000 after emerging tops among thousands of app users nationwide. Mr Gideon Obeng also received GH¢30,000, while Mr Joseph Kofi Agbavor won GH¢10,000. Other winners went home with GH¢10,000 and GH¢50,000 worth of prizes.

Speaking at the event, Mr Faisal Ali, Channel Development Manager at Mobile Money Limited, said the promo, which began in September, was designed to reward loyal customers while driving the transition from USSD transactions to the MoMo App.

He explained that beyond the cash prizes, the campaign was about building trust and making digital financial services easier, safer and more convenient for customers.

According to him, the MoMo App offered users a complete digital lifestyle platform, enabling them to send money, pay bills, shop, save and invest seamlessly while enjoying enhanced security and personalized experiences.

Faisal Ali noted that users who downloaded and transacted on the MoMo App during the promo period were automatically entered into daily, weekly and monthly draws, with prizes ranging from GH¢5,000 to the grand prize of GH¢100,000.

He also used the occasion to caution customers to remain vigilant against fraud, especially during the festive season, stressing that MTN and Mobile Money Limited would only contact winners through the official number 0244 300 000.

“Customers should never share their PINs or OTPs with anyone and should always conduct transactions by themselves,” he emphasized.

Representing the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Madam Fosua Addo assured participants that the draw was transparent and credible, explaining that all entries were validated in line with regulatory standards.

“The draw is free, fair and devoid of any manipulation,” she stated, congratulating all winners.

Reacting after winning the grand prize, Mr Frank Beecham said that he had no expectations of winning, explaining that he simply used the MoMo App for his daily transactions.

“I wasn’t even aware I was entering a promo. I was just using the app, and today I’ve won GH¢100,000,” he said, encouraging Ghanaians to embrace the MoMo App. He added that he planned to invest his winnings in MTN shares.
