The Ag. General Manager for Retail Banking of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Frank Okyere Adarkwah, has called on customers and the general public to prioritize peace and national development as the country approaches the December 2024 general elections.
He made these remarks during an interview at the bank’s annual Customer Appreciation Health Walk held in Kumasi on Saturday.
“All we need and pray for, is peace, especially during this election year. Once there is peace, business thrives, business moves on and our customers get that peace to come to our end to do business with us. In a way, it’s a win-win situation for everybody.
“We are praying that, from now to election day, we should all stay calm. Whatever party you belong to, we should maintain the peace we have in the country so that businesses will also thrive and everyone will be fine,” he stated
The ADB Area Manager for Ashanti, Bono and Ahafo regions, Felix Segu Eshun, highlighted the importance of the health walk, stressing that it aligns with the bank’s goal of enhancing the well-being of its clients and staff.
“This health walk symbolises our relationship with our customers and it’s basically to ensure the well-being of our customers. We are doing this to ensure that our customers stay fit as we are celebrating this whole week. This week is set aside for customer appreciation and it’s a customer service week. We are appreciating them and we also want them to stay healthy and continue doing business with us,” he added.
ADB’s Deputy Managing Director, Eno Ofori-Atta, explained the decision to hold the event in Kumasi, highlighting the importance of the Ashanti Region to the bank’s operations.
“A lot of our clients are from this region upwards. We thought it this time, we will come to Kumasi where it is in the middle where we can get everybody to join us and then go around town so that our customers will know that we are here for them,” she stated.
The health walk, which saw the participation of customers, staff, and many others, was aimed at promoting healthy living while strengthening the relationship between the bank and its clients.
Participants walked through key parts of the city, followed by a health screening session and some games at Rattray Park.
