By 2030, artificial intelligence (AI) will add $15.7 trillion to the global gross domestic product (GDP), with $6.6 trillion projected to be from increased productivity and $9.1 trillion from consumption effects.
Furthermore, augmentation, which allows people and AI to work together to enhance performance, will create $2.9 trillion of business value and 6.2 billion hours of worker productivity globally.
In a world that is increasingly characterised by enhanced connectivity and where data is as pervasive as it is valuable, Africa has a unique opportunity to leverage new digital technologies to drive large-scale transformation and competitiveness.
To ensure Africa is not left behind, Agilitee Africa, a South African tech firm is leading the charge with pioneering inventions with the latest AI products being kettle and phone holder.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Agilitee Africa, Dr Mandla Lamba, who made this known during a virtual interaction with the media on December 20, said the products would be made available in Ghana in February 2022.
“Ghana is about to use the greatest products, kettle and phone holder, produced in Africa from February 2022,” he said.
The kettle
He said the Agilitee AI Kettle has a temperature management system that allows users to set the kettle hit according to the purpose of the use of the water.
“For instance, if you are boiling the noodles the water temperature will be very high allowing immediate softening on the noodles instead of waiting for 15 minutes after pouring boiling water on the noodles,” he said.
e said that the kettle has been equipped with a temperature management system that allows users to boil water to the preferred degree.
The phone holder
The CEO noted that the phone holder was the first AI holder invented in Africa to meet the needs of phone users.
“It is with great pride and honor to present Africa's very first Al phone holder. Those who do Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook and other live streaming; Agilitee has developed a solution for you. The product is called Tarsier,” he said.
According to him, the product has a full Al face and motion sensor with 360 degrees autonomous rotation, which means the camera follows you and still captures the best possible angle.
“For the first time, you don't have to stand at one place or angle while addressing your viewers or fans and your hands can be free at last.
“It can easily switch to a horizontal and vertical angle as you deem fit, it has a very high precision algorithm for Al telematics for face recognition and Al Hummanoid Sensor.
“Artificial Intelligence is exciting and Africa through Agilitee is also in the forefront of it. Your tiktok experience will never be the same again,” he stated.
He added that Ghanaians should be ready for these products because soon not only the products will be available but rather the manufacturing would be done locally to create jobs and provide opportunities for Ghanaian citizens.
