As part of plans to improve intercity transport for Ghanaians at affordable rates in real time, GIG Mobility (GIGM) has launched its service in the country at a ceremony held in its head office in Accra. The company announced its expansion into the Ghanaian market during the opening of their flagship terminals in Accra and Kumasi.
Speaking to the media, Chief Operating Officer Vuakpor Muoghereh said that GIGM aims to ensure customer satisfaction by investing in digitization of transportation.
She said that GIGM was committed to moving people across cities safely using their downloadable mobile app on PlayStore and Apple Store for both Android and iOS (Iphone Operating System) users respectively.
After downloading the GIGM Mobile App,travelers have the option to opt for free pick-up services or report at any transport terminal.
"GIGM is changing the way intercity transport service is done in Ghana with the introduction of the mobile app for ticket booking, vehicle hire and pick up service" she stated.
Users enjoy discounts when trips are booked online or through the app and have the option to pay using mobile money in order to enjoy the GIGM experience. The entire process takes five minutes or less.
Ms Muoghereh disclosed that the company also has a separate application for their drivers whom they refer to as Captains, which allows them to render great customer service to Guests or clients. Potential investors who want to partner with the GIGM are also encouraged to sign up with them after going through rigorous assessment. "From our professional Captains (drivers) we have carefully screened and gone through continuous professional development, to our fleet, which is by all standards, the best in the industry.” She said that their safety procedures are meticulously followed through".
GIGM, she emphasized is contributing to the global transportation revolution and is excited to extend her technologically driven transport to Ghana, the gateway to Africa.
