The benchmark index advanced by 3.34 points (+0.15%) to close at 2,159.98 with a -16.03% year-to-date return on the back of price appreciations in two financial counters while market capitalization increased by 0.36% to settle at GH¢55.79 billion.
Ecobank Transnational (+12.50%) and Societe Generale (+6.56%), the advancers at the session pushed the GSE Financial Index up by 6.21 points (+0.34%) to close at 1,825.85 with a -15.22% YTD return.
The SAS Manufacturing Index, closing at 3.623.32 points with a year-to-date return of -22.13% remained unchanged for the seventeenth successive session.
A total of 91,423 shares valued at GH¢190,993 summed up today’s session compared with 133,081 shares valued at GH¢117,056 in the previous session. Standard Chartered dominated trades by volume, accounting for 54.35% of total volume traded while Enterprise Group dominated by value, accounting for 41.46% of the total value traded.

Nomination of New Chief Executive Officer
Cal Bank Limited (GSE: ALW)
CAL has nominated Mr. Philip Owiredu as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, subject to Bank of Ghana's approval.
Upon approval, Mr. Owiredu will assume the Chief Executive Officer position on January 01, 2020, following the retirement of the current Managing Director, Mr. Frank B. Adu on December 31, 2019.
In addition to the Managing Director Frank B. Adu, two long-serving, non-executive directors of CalBank, Mr. Malcolms Pryor and Dr. Kobina Quansah will be retiring on December 31, 2019.
