Mrs Georgina Asare Fiagbenu, Senior Manager for Corporate Communications at MTN, has impressed upon the youth to take full advantage of emerging technological advancement to improve upon themselves.
They should re-position themselves by striving to come out of their comfort zones, learn new ideas and develop skills and expertise to lead the national quest for rapid economy transformation.
Delivering a speech to the patrons of "Springboard 2019 Road show" held in the Central Regional Capital, Cape Coast, she said, Ghana would have more successful entrepreneurs if the youth took advantage of digitalisation to develop themselves in that area.
With focus on digital revolution, this year's edition of the programme seeks to train participants on how to seize opportunities in an "uncertain, digitised world".
The Springboard road show, designed and spearheaded by Albert & Comfort Ocran is anchored on three key pillars; compelling content, talent exposure and networking session.
Mrs. Fiagbenu stressed the need for Ghanaian youth to do sincere self-introspection and scan the digital environment to merit from the dynamics of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Also, they must adopt self-motivation, willingness to take calculated risk, willingness to listen to others, willingness to work hard and eschew the fear of failure.
She observed that one's academic prowess and intelligence were not the only necessities for success in life, but rather a proper mindset towards entrepreneurship was the key.
"The youth must firstly reposition, have positive mindset, inculcate spirit of volunteerism, and build sustainable solid relationships that works for mutual benefits."
In addition to that, they must do proper networking, and defined networking as nets that work by people volunteering to go beyond what she described as (SEE)-level meaning Stretch, Explore and Extract.
''Let's go beyond the SEE level and create a brighter future." You can do it so just give it a try," she advised adding that the world was changing at a faster pace and the only way out was to churn out entrepreneurs who would change the face of the country and the economy by creating more jobs.
Opportunities abound in the entrepreneurial sector, but cautioned that, it involved challenges and people who were consistent and willing to stand the test of time to make it on the field.
Mrs Comfort Ocran, Executive Director of Springboard Road Show tasked prospective entrepreneurs to have a strategy and be well equipped with technological developments for them to stay relevant.
She challenged the youth of Ghana to take advantage of information available to develop and improve themselves in order not to be left behind in the digital revolution taking place across the world.
