A reputable Paper Manufacturing Company seeks a Transport Manager. The Transport Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all transportation activities to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The role requires strong organizational skills, leadership ability, and in-depth knowledge of fleet management, logistics, and regulatory compliance.

 

Job description:

• Manage day-to-day transport operations, including fleet scheduling, routing and dispatch.

• Ensure the safe and efficient use of vehicles, drivers, and other transport resources.

• Develop and implement transport policies, procedures, and service standards.

• Monitor vehicle performance, fuel usage and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

• Ensure compliance with road safety, transport regulations and environmental standards.

• Supervise, train, and motivate drivers and transport staff.

• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics and customer service teams to meet delivery requirements.

• Prepare and manage transport budgets, controlling costs and optimizing efficiency.

• Handle transport-related incidents, accidents and insurance claims.

• Maintain accurate transport records, permits and reports for management and regulatory purposes.
