Job Summary
The Head of Security will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security strategies to protect the company's employees, assets, and information. This role requires a highly experienced individual with a strong background in security management, risk assessment, and crisis management. The Head of Security will lead the security team and work closely with other departments to ensure the safety and security of all company operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Risk Management:
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement measures to mitigate risks.
Crisis Management:
Lead the development and execution of crisis management plans, ensuring the company is prepared for and can respond effectively to emergencies.
Team Leadership:
Manage and lead the security team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and development. Foster a culture of vigilance, responsibility, and continuous improvement.
Policy and Procedure Development:
Create, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard the company’s physical and digital assets.
Security Operations Oversight:
Oversee day-to-day security operations, including monitoring security systems, managing access control, and ensuring compliance with security regulations and standards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, such as IT, HR, and Facilities, to ensure a cohesive approach to security across all areas of the company.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
Manage relationships with external security vendors and contractors, ensuring they meet the company’s standards and requirements.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the security department’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
Compliance:
Ensure the company complies with all relevant security-related laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Reporting:
Prepare and present regular security reports to senior management, highlighting key risks, incidents, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in security management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
