1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in sales, marketing, or category / channel management
3. Demonstrate a deep understanding of local consumers, customers, shopper, and retail marketing strategies.
4. Ability to define project objectives, develop structured plans, and lead initiatives from concept through to completion.
5. Knowledge in preparing and managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring cost-efficiency.

Description
We are seeking a channel and category development officer to coordinate the development and implementation of channel/ shopper and Route-to-Market strategies to drive sales and market share with the General and Modern Trade channels across Ivory Coast in conjunction with the Country Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the formulation of a CCD roadmap and Strategy for Ghana with the Country Manager.
- Lead implementation of the CCD roadmap for Ghana
- Drive the understanding of Modern, General Trade and/or Alternative Channels Insights
- Leverage the acquired insights to build up an Activation Plan for each Trade Channel.
- Implement the development of the Shopper (Channel) Strategy for General Trade, Modern Trade and/or Alternative Channels in collaboration with MDM and CM.
- Participate to the development and implementation of clear best practice channel segmentation, prioritisation and review processes.
- Execute the development of route to market plans based on facts and insights from CTSM and CM.
- Execute approved Route to Market projects in Ghana
- Coordinate the development and implementation of best practice distributor management systems, processes and tools in Ghana, using FC’s existing best practices.
- Work directly with CTSM and CM on high priority issues, opportunities and projects in relation to key distributors.
- Lead the development of specific distributor management capabilities and know how in Ghana.
- Propose the split of the Trade spending budget according to strategy.
- Ensure the enforcement of trade spend guidelines in Ivory Coast, ensuring the efficiency of overall spend and the minimisation of ‘non-performance’ spend
- Track and monitor the implementation of agreed strategies to improve channel contribution, taking corrective action as and where required to support local team.
- Jointly lead the implementation of best practice systems, approaches and tools in relation to sales force effectiveness within the channels
- Execute and implement collaborative / joint planning process with key distributors
- Build value based and strategic “win-win” relationships with key stakeholders at all levels. Instill in them the RFC way of working
