The Governing Council of Data Link Institute of Business and Technology (DLIBT) invites applications from qualified and enterprising applicants to fill the position of President.
The Institute
Data Link Institute is a distinguished private institution of higher learning, dedicated to providing transformative education, fostering innovation, and developing leaders who make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. The Institute is accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and affiliated with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and University for Development Studies (UDS).
The Position
- The President serves as the administrative and academic head of the Institute and is accountable to the Governing Council.
- The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute and therefore has the authority over members of staff and the student body, subject to the Statutes of the Institute.
- The President is responsible for advancing the Institute’s mission, vision, core values and strategic plan, and also fostering an environment of academic integrity and innovation.
- The President is responsible for promoting quality higher education, research and also providing academic and administrative leadership.
- The President is the chief spokesperson and ambassador of the Institute, speaking on behalf of the Institute and promoting its achievements and contributions to society.
The Person
- Must be of the rank of a Professor
- Must exhibit visionary leadership qualities and orgnanisational skills
- Must have strong financial and business acumen and demonstrated success in fundraising and prudent utilisation of resources for institutional advancement.
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Must have a high degree of personal integrity
- Must have the capacity to raise funds and resources for research and other development activities.
Term of Appointment
The appointment will be for four (4) years. The Governing Council has the prerogative to renew the appointment for another (4) four year term based on exceptional performance.
Condition of Service
Salary and fringe benefits attached to the position are very attractive.
