Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and oversee the procurement of construction materials, equipment, tools, and services in line with project schedules. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure best value, quality, and delivery terms. Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and supply agreements. Ensure timely delivery of materials to sites to prevent delays and downtime. Work closely with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and Quantity Surveyors to forecast material requirements. Monitor inventory levels, avoid stock shortages or overstocking, and ensure proper storage. Control procurement costs and ensure purchases align with approved budgets. Vet suppliers for compliance with quality, safety, and statutory requirements. Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation. Handle supplier disputes, returns, and claims efficiently. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations. Supervise procurement staff and provide guidance where applicable. Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
