A private security guard ensures property/personnel safety through patrols, access control (checking visitors/staff), surveillance monitoring (CCTV), and swift emergency response (alarms, incidents), requiring vigilance, discipline, good communication, and detailed report writing, acting as a visible deterrent to crime and maintaining order with professionalism. 

• Operational Oversight: Conduct day and night patrols to verify that guards are at their posts, properly dressed, and following protocols.


• Surveillance & Technology: Monitor and maintain security systems, including CCTV, burglar alarms, and access control systems.


• Incident Management: Lead investigations into theft, fraud, or breaches. This involves interviewing suspects/witnesses and coordinating with the Ghana Police Service or other law enforcement when necessary.


• Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of activities and security breaches. Supervisors typically submit weekly or monthly security reports to management.


• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to national health and safety standards and company policies.
