Job Brief
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize process efficiency and productivity. In addition, developing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and customers.
Job Description
- Coordinates, plans, and manages delivery of the products to the customers, in cooperation with the Store and Warehouse Managers, strictly in accordance with the company's policies.
- Ensures high level of customer satisfaction through the performance of the Logistics and after-sales departments.
- Coordinates and manages transfers between the warehouses.
- Manages company's Truck fleet and ensures: the choice of the best routes to reach the customer, lowest expenditures, and best service are provided.
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
- Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain & logistics.
- Identifying process bottlenecks in the department's operations and coming up with solutions to improve the overall effectiveness of the operation process.
- Develops, coordinates, and maintains detailed inventories of the goods in the warehouses and in the store.
- Maintains and ensures the required quantity of goods to optimize the operations of the company.
- Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of the department and profitability for the company.
- Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain & logistics while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
- Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to the consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
- Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Coordinates the operation of the company's warehouses and distribution centers.
- Manage competency and skills, as well as motivate logistics, warehouses, and distribution center personnel, including training and knowledge development.
- Manage the stocks of the store, warehouses, and logistics center.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
