Ability to communicate complex information clearly
Knowledge or experience in purchase and supply is an advantage
Good knowledge of micro soft office. Especially knowledge of Excel and PP is an advantage
Ability to write detailed reports on stocks
Possess good record-keeping skills
Must possess good typing proficiency
Must possess strong adhesion to details
Excellent communication skills
Must be willing to work under little supervision.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in the context of a multidisciplinary health team

Description
Our client, a leading company in the supply of laboratory equipment is looking for an experienced individual for the role of a STORES OFFICER to assist with the company’s operations.
ROLE PROFILE
The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services within the organization, and keep track of all products to provide the highest standard of service required. He/ She will provide the following services as well:
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that stocks are accurate in terms of quantities without shortages.
- Check opening stocks and update on a daily basis.
- Ensure accurate records of procurement activities, supplier information, contracts, purchase orders, and inventory levels.
- Keep a good display on the items, maintain good visibility (stands, shelves, pyramids), lighting system and ventilation.
- Check that all items received for quantity, quality and return or reject if rusted, near expiry, or damaged.
- Ensure proper filing of all waybills, invoices, returns, transfer papers or any other documents.
- Conduct a stock audit and inform the manager of any near expires or low stock level.
- Ensure compliance with laws and ethical standards are adhered
- Check the store for pests and rodents (rats) and organize periodic schedule for insecticide spraying
- Conduct market research to be abreast with relevant trends
- Alert the manager about any shortage or undelivered items from the main warehouse.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payment processing for suppliers
- Ensure stock is properly arranged considering a FIFO (First-in-First-Out) Strategy
