As a Gas Technician, you are responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of all gas systems across our restaurant locations. Your primary mission is to proactively detect, diagnose, and repair gas leakages, especially from pipe joints, valve holes, and fitting points as well as perform routine maintenance on gas-powered cooking equipment.
1. Conduct systematic leak detection on all gas pipework, including;
Threaded joints and fittings
Valve stems and packing nuts
Pinhole leaks in pipe walls
Flexible hose connections
2. Gas pipe holes (test ports, unused tappings, corrosion pits)
Use electronic gas sniffers, combustible gas indicators (CGI), and ultrasonic leak detectors.
· Perform soap-and-water bubble tests on all suspect points.
· Differentiate between minor seepage and hazardous-level leaks; take immediate corrective action.
Commercial ranges, ovens, griddles, fryers, charbroilers, tandoor ovens, and wok burners.
Clean burner ports, pilot assemblies, and air shutters as needed
Respond to suspected gas leak calls from restaurant managers
