A Bachelor's or university degree in accounting or finance from a recognized institution. At least 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within an International NGO. Proficiency in advanced MS Excel, familiarity with SharePoint and MS-Teams, and experience with at least one accounting program. Experience with Fund Accounting software is preferred. The Finance Officer is responsible for reviewing financial transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance. He/She will prepare financial analyses and management reports, lead the preparation and monitoring of annual and donor budgets, and facilitate internal and external audits. Ensuring adherence to external donor requirements and internal policies and procedures is also a key part of his/her role. The Finance Officer must comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position is based in Accra and requires occasional travel to field offices in Ghana as well as international travel.
