Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong mechanical engineering background to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery, equipment, and systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership abilities, strong technical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
Maintenance Planning & Execution:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive maintenance schedule, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Monitor and ensure the optimal functioning of all machinery and systems.
Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
- Analyse and report on maintenance costs, identifying areas for cost reduction.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance on mechanical issues, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the reliability and efficiency of production processes.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades or replacements for outdated or inefficient equipment.
Vendor & Inventory Management:
- Manage relationships with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Oversee the procurement of spare parts and materials, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to optimize costs.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Proficient in using maintenance management software (CMMS).
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- -Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
