We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer, specializing in tender documentation and submission. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the company’s successful participation in competitive bidding processes. The role requires strong technical and analytical skills, a thorough understanding of procurement procedures, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tender Document Analysis:
o Carefully read and analyze tender documents to understand technical, financial, and administrative requirements.
o Identify mandatory criteria, submission deadlines, and compliance standards.
2. Requirement Summarization:
o Summarize key deliverables, timelines, and expectations outlined in the tender documents.
o Communicate summarized details to relevant stakeholders for input and alignment.
3. Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Development:
o Collaborate with relevant departments to prepare a comprehensive and accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
o Ensure that the BOQ aligns with the tender’s technical and financial requirements.
4. Financial Documentation Preparation:
o Organize and compile detailed financial files, including cost breakdowns, price schedules, and financial guarantees.
o Verify accuracy and ensure adherence to tender-specific financial formats.
5. Technical File Compilation:
o Draft, compile, and review technical documents such as equipment specifications, compliance sheets, product certifications, and manufacturer authorizations.
o Ensure all documents meet tender specifications and are technically sound.
6. Coordination and Stakeholder Communication:
o Liaise with suppliers, partners, and internal departments to gather required inputs for tender submissions.
o Maintain clear and efficient communication throughout the tender preparation process.
7. Tender Submission:
o Oversee the submission process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tender documents (both electronic and physical submissions, if applicable).
o Address any last-minute changes or clarifications required during submission.
8. Post-Tender Activities:
o Support in addressing any post-submission queries or clarifications from the tendering authority.
o Assist in tender outcome analysis and documentation for future improvement.
Requirements
Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in tender preparation, submission, and procurement processes, preferably in a medical or engineering-related field.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of biomedical equipment and technologies, along with the ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify key requirements from complex tender documents.
• Organizational Skills: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tender processes simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Documentation Skills: Proficiency in preparing and formatting technical and financial documentation in compliance with procurement standards.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant tools and software for BOQ preparation, document formatting, and tender submission platforms.
• Proficiency in technical and financial documentation, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and standards.
