Description
Insight HR Solutions is mandated by one of its clients in the oil and gas industry to recruit a Project Planner for immediate employment.The project is located in Sunyani and is expected to last for 8 months.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Operation:
- Creates, maintains and reviews program of work.
- Organizes and analyze information to prepare status reports.
- Ensures that assignment and scheduling of work follow company policy.
- Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
- Monitors schedule compliance levels and identifies reasons for completion shortfalls.
- Liaise with the different departments (Engineering, Production, Logistics, Maintenance, etc) on technical, human and equipment, etc aspects of the project.
- Plans contingency programs in case timeframes change
- Produces and monitors the planning for the project by defining priorities.
- Coordinates discussions between the Client, Contractor(s), Construction teams, other stakeholders.
- Can assure that teams work respecting defined requirements.
- Ensures that project is completed on time and within budget.
- Breaks large jobs down into phases of development
- Produces progress reports and forecasts for team members, clients and stakeholders.
Health Safety Environment Quality:
- Applies the branch's HSEQ policy and goals.
- Makes the necessary measures to minimize risks jeopardizing Quality, Safety and the Environment.
- Applies instructions as regards compliance with HSEQ rules.
- Supports the HSEQ system by taking part in discussions.
- Proposes and carries out improvement actions and corrective and/or preventive actions.
Involvement:
- Undertakes to follow the training necessary to develop his or her skills.
- May be required to train new hires.
