Job location: East Legon – Accra
Job Purpose: The role's primary responsibility is to oversee the business activities of two firms, one within the group and the other a sister company. Duties includes establishing strategic objectives, creating and carrying out business strategies, handling budgets, guaranteeing operational efficiency and effectiveness, encouraging innovation and growth, business development and eventually boosting the companies’ profitability and success. The role reports directly to the Group Chief Operating Officer.
Arears of responsibilities.
• Ensure that the award and administration of contracts on projects is carried out in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
• Monitor the performance of awarded subcontracts, checking and agreeing on the accuracy of monthly payment applications during the life of the subcontract and after the work.
• Formulate change orders to existing subcontracts for changes in scope and / or pricing.
• Investigate claims by the client to establish responsibility based on contract provisions or onsite errors and determine and agree on a relevant course of action for claims, advising the client as directed by Management.
• Identify the bid process by evaluating contractual & technical requirements.
• Assess resources such as machines, equipment, manpower, and all other required resources.
• Initiate in-house cost packages and prepare and submit bid packages (technical & commercial).
• Clarify reasons and perform post-bid analysis to identify corrective measures for future bids if the bid was not won.
• Communicate with clients as required and work to ensure optimum tender price as well as effective post-award takeover and handover.
• Increase the company’s involvement with existing clients and maintain existing relations.
• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive sales strategies that align with the business goals.
• Monitor sales performance through metrics, reports, and forecasting.
• Manage and solve any problems that occur with suppliers and stakeholder. Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or Construction.
• Masters/MBA degree preferred
• Strong professional background with no less than 10 years of experience in a related field
• Demonstrated ability to show results.
• Proven administrative, leadership, and management ability in project management.
