Description
- Provide comprehensive antenatal care, including monitoring the health of pregnant women and unborn babies.
- Conduct routine check-ups, screenings, and educate mothers on nutrition, hygiene, and pregnancy care.
- Assist and manage labour and delivery, ensuring the safety of both mother and baby.
- Monitor fetal heart rate and the mother’s vital signs during labour.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to mothers before, during, and after childbirth.
- Perform normal deliveries and recognize complications requiring medical intervention.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide postnatal care, including monitoring recovery and supporting breastfeeding.
- Educate mothers on newborn care, family planning, and post-delivery health.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Respond quickly to emergencies and provide life-saving care when needed.
- Promote safe motherhood and community health awareness.
