Key responsibilities
• Credit risk assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing
financial statements and other data.
• Credit policy development: Create, review, and update the company's credit policies and procedures.
• Credit limit and terms management: Approve or reject loan requests, calculate and set interest rates,
and negotiate loan terms and payment schedules.
• Account and collection management: Monitor customer payments, manage receivables, follow up on
delinquent accounts, and handle debt collection efforts.
• Reporting and analysis: Produce risk assessment reports and analyze financial data to inform decision-
making and optimize cash flow.
• Compliance: Ensure all lending activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Team leadership: Supervise a credit team and collaborate with other departments, such as sales and
finance.
