Job Overview
A leading Ghanaian real estate development firm is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Accounts Manager to oversee its financial operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial planning, ensuring budget control, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting large-scale housing and infrastructure projects. This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of financial best practices, and proven experience in managing complex financial systems within the real estate or construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Manager will lead activities across Financial Planning, Budget Execution, and Financial Reporting & Compliance:
1. Financial Planning
Develop and manage annual and project-specific budgets.
Provide financial forecasts and cost-control advice to leadership.
Align financial planning with the company’s long-term development strategy.
2. Budget Execution
Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely payments.
Manage payroll, taxes, and other statutory obligations.
Maintain accurate financial records and enforce financial controls.
3. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and deliver timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).
Monitor compliance with relevant financial laws, standards, and internal policies.
Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial/accounting management.
Industry experience in real estate, construction, or related sectors is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to manage financial systems and complex transactions.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software.
Sound understanding of financial regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
